Shirley Athletic are an established, credible amateur football club, playing on Saturday afternoons in the Birmingham & District AFA league. Formed in 1972, Shirley now has 3 teams in the above mentioned league.

The 1st team & 2nd team play their home games at The Glades, Lugtrout Lane, Catherine-De-Barnes, Solihull West Midlands. B91 2RX.
The 1st team are now successfully enjoying AFA Premier League football regularly, and go into the forthcoming season as current AFA Premier League Champions, for the 1st time in their history.
The 2nd team compete in the AFA Division 3, and after a below par season, and avoiding relegation narrowly, they will be looking to improve in the 2009/10 season
The 3rd team are now playing their home games at the Chelmsley Onward Club, 107 Helmswood Drive, Chelmsley Wood. B37 7NS. They regularly compete very well in the AFA Cups in recent years, and contest their league staus in Division 4.
Eventually, the whole of Shirley Athletic will play from the same club, which we all hope to be in the near future.
